Dr. Daniel Y. Stegman, MD, the owner of
Clifton Eye Care, is a Graduate of
Universidad Central de Venezuela,
Caracas, completed his
ophthalmology training at Hahnemann
University Hospital, Philadelphia.
Subsequently, he completed two years
research and one year clinical fellowship
in glaucoma at the Mount Sinai Medical
Center, New York, under the direction of Dr. Steven Podos.
Dr. Stegman’s special Interests include the use of the latest techniques in glaucoma and the
use of implants for difficult cases of glaucoma that have failed to previous
surgeries.
Dr. Stegman has authored several scientific publications on glaucoma and has
been the recipient of awards for his academic performance.
Finally, Dr. Stegman is proficient in Spanish, English, Hungarian, Hebrew,
Rumanian and French.
Dr. Luis Mendoza, MD, is a graduate of Universidad Nacional de Colombia in
1965, Bogotá, Completed his
Ophthalmology training at the
Hospital Uiversitario San Juan
de Dios en Bogotá in 1968.
He came to the United States in order to
improve his qualifications as an Ophthalmologist and to obtain his Board
certification. In 1972 he obtained his Board in Ophthalmology. Dr. Mendoza has
been in private practice since 1972. He has been affiliated with St. Joseph
Hospital and Medical Center, Paterson and Beth Israel Hospital, Passaic with
full privileges.
Dr. Mendoza is proficient in Spanish and English.
Dr. Baljeet K. Purewal, MD earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate
Medical Center where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology.
Following residency, she completed a subspecialty fellowship training program
in Oculoplastic Surgery at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and in Cosmetic
Oculofacial Surgery under the supervision of Stephen Bosniak, MD. She is board
certified and an assistant professor of ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate Medical
Center where she supervises residents in the operating room and eye clinic.
Dr. Purewal's specialty interests include ptosis repair, blepharoplasty, eyelid
pathology, and orbital and eyelid trauma. Additionally, she is well published
in minimally invasive oculofacial rejuvenation and performs botox injections
and fillers.Dr. Purewal is proficient in medical Spanish, familiar with
Pumjabi.
Dr. Charles F. Morgan, MD graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1992. He complete in
ophthalmology training at Northwestern University Medical Center and St. Louis
University Health Sciences Centers. Upon completion of his residency, Dr.
Morgan did his fellowship in pediatric opthmology at Manhattan Eye and Ear
Hospital.
Dr. Morgan is board certified and a member of several national opthalmogogy
societies. He has authored several publications and has given numerous
lectures.
Dr. Kartik Patel, DO is a graduate of the Philadelphia College Osteopathic. Dr. Patel was a Chief
Resident in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Nassau University Medical
Center. He completed his fellowship at the University of Texas.
He is board certified, and has authored many publications, including Reactive
Lyme Serology in Optic Neuritis in the Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology. Dr. Patel has privileges at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown.
Dr. Bradford A. Tannen, MD, JD, MBA earned his medical degree at the University of Pennslvania. He completed his
residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey, where he
served as chief resident. Following residency, he completed a subspecialty
fellowship training program in Cornea and External Disease at The Wilmer Eye
Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital. His research interests include corneal
biomechanics, imaging techniques for ocular inflammatory diseases, surgical
techniques in corneal transplantation, and refractive outcomes after cataract
surgery.
Dr.Tannen will be providing both comprehensive and subspeciality ophthalmology
care including cataracts, corneal diseases, corneal transplantation, laser
refractive surgery including LASIK and PRK, external disease and general eye
ailments.
